Salted Date and macadamia nut butter

This Salted Date and Macadamia Nut Butter is an indulgent spread that combines the naturally deep sweetness of dates with rich, buttery macadamia nuts, finished with a perfect saline crunch. Super nourishing and decadent, this is the perfect pantry staple for any mood.​

Serving suggestion: slathered thickly on toast, swirled through a sourdough discard cookie, or by the spoonful straight out of the jar.

Ingredients

500g pitted dates, pref. medjool

300g macadamia nuts

3 tbsp water

1-2 tsp sea salt

Method

  1. Add macadmia nuts to a food processor. Blitz until the nuts begin to release their oils. 

  2. Add your dates and water to encourage the mixture to come together. Pulse and then blend until smooth and combined.

  3. Fold through flakey sea salt.

  4. ​Place in a sterilised jar and store in the fridge for up to a month.
